		<Abstract>We have determined the species composition of Eriophyoidea mites on plants of the &lt;em&gt;Pyrus&lt;/em&gt; L. genus on the territory of the Academician A.V. Fomin Botanical Garden. It has been found that &lt;em&gt;Eriophyes pyri&lt;/em&gt; Pgst and &lt;em&gt;Epitrimerus pyri&lt;/em&gt; Nal. dominate. For the first time, individuals of &lt;em&gt;Epitrimerus marginemtorguens&lt;/em&gt; Nal., have been found on pear leaves. The sequence of colonization of &lt;em&gt;Eriophyes pyri&lt;/em&gt; leaves on a growing shoot of a pear has been determined, which is of practical importance for carrying out protective measures. The level of infestation of &lt;em&gt;Pyrus communus&lt;/em&gt; varieties by phytophagous mites has been established. Twenty-seven varieties had low and medium damage. Seven varieties of &lt;em&gt;P. communus&lt;/em&gt; and &lt;em&gt;P. salicifolia&lt;/em&gt; have been classified as the most damaged by &lt;em&gt;Eriophyes pyri&lt;/em&gt;. Along with this, four summer varieties have been very slightly damaged. These data should be taken into account for the monitoring of pest mites and planned population control measures</Abstract>
