Abstract
A new species of the genus Stigmaeus Koch, 1836 (Acari: Trombidiformes: Stigmaeidae), S. lorestaniensissp. nov. is described and illustrated. This new species was collected from soil and litter under apricot tree, Prunusarmeniaca L. (Rosaceae) in Lorestan province, southwest Iran.
