A new species of the genus Cheyletus (Acari: Trombidiformes: Cheyletidae) from Kurdistan of Iran

Abstract
Cheyletus kurdistaniensis sp. nov. is described and illustrated based on females collected from soil under Astragalus sp. (Fabaceae), from Qorveh, Kurdistan province, Iran. A key to all known species of the genus Cheyletus (females) is provided. The new species belongs to the trouessarti species group of Cheyletus. Within this group, it is classified in the trouessarti species subgroup which is defined by: Dorsomedian setae small and flag-like, dorsal shield with one pair of median setae, hysterosomal shield with 1‌−3 pairs of median setae, peritremes M-shaped or II-shaped.
